Sr. Analyst / Jr. Associate Opening

Crescendo Capital Partners, LLC (“CCP”) is seeking an immediate hire for a Senior Analyst / Pre-MBA Junior Associate role in its Chicago office. The new team member will work alongside the existing CCP team in identifying and executing new investment opportunities as well as monitoring and support of portfolio companies. The candidate will gain exposure to a diverse set of industries and will work in a fast-paced, lean, entrepreneurial environment.

About CCP:

CCP is a private equity firm based in Los Angeles, Chicago and Austin. CCP is primarily focused on lower-middle-market, change of control transactions, typically with enterprise values of $10 to $100 million. We bring additional executive talent to all deals, whether, as in most cases, from CCP’s operating network, or in others, via recruitment. These resources serve on the Board of Directors and/or assume operating roles. Role Responsibilities:

  • Track/develop deal candidates and execute NDA’s
  • Assist with review of new opportunities, including discussions with transaction intermediaries
  • Support all aspects of transaction due diligence, including industry research, competitive &financial analysis
  • Prepare dynamic financial models to help assess new deal opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of external memoranda presented to co-investors
  • Aid existing investment monitoring efforts and other portfolio company initiatives


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or other quantitative-focused field of study
  • Two years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory services or other M&A-focused role.
  • Capacity to prioritize responsibilities as part of a lean team managing multiple workstreams
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial accounting, and Excel-based modeling
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly prepare written presentations summarizing key takeaways of new investment opportunities
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and more
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well with existing team members, external advisors and portfolio company management
